Who Is Harry Potter?

Harry Potter is a teen who has been neglected by his guardians, his aunt and uncle, for as long as he can remember. His cousin Dudley is given everything he demands and Harry's share too. As Harry tries to stay sane in this horrible household, stranger events than usual begin happening. Of course, Harry's life is already pretty strange... There was the time that a snake at the zoo started a conversation with him. Just before Harry somehow made the glass front of the cage disappear and Dudley fall into the cage.

One day, winged parchment letters with Harrys name start appearing: through the mail slot in the door, the windows, and even down the chimney! Harrys uncle doesn't let him so much as touch one; He destroys them immediately. When this doesn't make the flood of parchment stop, they go on a trip to a tiny island with a ramshackle shack in an effort to escape the flock.

That night is Harrys 14th birthday and he gets a startling gift; A huge hairy (half)giant appears and tells Harry he is to be a wizard and has been accepted to Hogwarts school of wizardry and witchcraft like his parents. This starts the happiest times of Harrys life though there will be many dark and mysterious happenings in the future.

It usually takes 7 years for a Hogwarts student to graduate and become a full-fledged wizard or witch. Each book in the Harry Potter series covers approximately one year at Hogwarts and all the romps and scares that he experiences there.
